Modernism or the universal space is often said “homogeneous”. It is said that architecture which is built based on the modernism idea can be built anywhere, everywhere inside is the same or lack of consideration on human. Are such myths really true ?? This is the project that is strongly based on the idea of modernism but it maximises the context of its location.
All spaces are same, homogeneous and repetitive. These spaces are placed around circulation core, toward four different directions. One can accesses by taking elevator arriving at elevator hall and chose one corridor from four. One may arrive one floor below or above where he/she wants to go, then takes huge spiral stairs arrive at next floor, passing through elevator hall and eventually arrive at the destination. On such way, one may get sense of lost. When one gets such feeling, one may wants to know where he/she is.
In this time, one would try to recognize the space, try to find the reference that informs one’s location.
If one experiences two, three or more spaces, subtle difference in these spaces appears remarkably, which are outside scene. Spatial experience is only made of you and scene.
What makes possible to give such experience is that repetitive homogeneous spaces, simple but complex circulation and symmetrical composition.
